 Output unit  is used to communicate the results of data processing carried out by the processing unit to the outside world. The example of output devices are:
Printer - produces a permanent human-readable text or graphic documents.

An example of audio input device is microphone, which provides input by converting sound into electric signals.

Webcam - low resolution video camera used to provide visual input that can be easily transferred over the internet






Monitor - A monitor is the screen on which words, numbers, and graphics can be seem.  The monitor is the most common output device.

Floppy Disk - A floppy disk is used to record information on.  The information is stored on the floppy disk and can be used later or used on another computer.




Compact Disk - Some compact disks can be used to put information on.  This is called burning information to a CD.
NOTE:  A CD can also be an input device.


Computer output devices deliver data that has been processed by the computer to the user. There are a variety of devices that produce data in different forms including audio, visual and hard copy. Computer output devices are types of peripheral hardware connected to a computer, using cables or over a wireless network.
